Search tools which are qualitatively and quantitatively different than Google, relevant and comprehensive…. categories dynamically created on the fly based on search queries. Cool and extremely functional.
Last night I finished a new article for the TechEdge, entitled “Beyond Google.” Millions search the Internet daily but few are probably searching as efficiently and quickly as they could be. The Vivisimo search tool as well as Grokker offer novel ways to search the web and avoid the common phenomenon of being overwhelmed with too many search result hits.
I hope Grokker releases their Mac OS X version soon. Being able to visually navigate through search results is superb– conceptually this is not very distant from playing my GameCube. Amazing to think of this as the first generation of graphical search tools– what will these look like in 20 or even 5 years?!
