EFF’s “Legal Guide for Bloggers” is an excellent, free resource anyone involved in blogging should read and be aware of. Bloggers seem to make it in the news most often by getting into trouble. Some of these cases seem to involve a lack of basic common sense, like people bad-mouthing their employer on company time via their blog. But other cases are not so black and white. Check it out, and pass it on! Go EFF!
The Anti-SLAPP Resource center, referenced in the guide, is particularly helpful. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Texas has adopted a related statute…. yet.
