Free Internet access for Maine students
posted in 1:1 |Keep up the great work, Angus King! Where is a comparable champion for education in Texas? I am not sure.
This article from August 15th, “Free Internet access boosts benefit of school laptops,” highlights a new program that is providing middle school students as well as 9th and 10th grade students from low-socioeconomic families in Maine with free internet access at home.
This is tangibly bridging the digital divide. We need to be doing this for students in Texas also.
