I continue to be enamored with digital storytelling as a method of 21st century communication and discourse.
This evening, thanks to a comment left on my blog, I discovered the BBC’s “Telling Lives” website (www.bbc.co.uk/tellinglives). Really engaging stuff.
The site features regular people, who have recorded short (all the ones I saw tonight were less than 5 minutes) video clips about their lives, their perceptions, and their experiences.
The World War II remembrances are particularly touching.
This is transmediation in action. The website’s “What is Digital Storytelling” page has a good summary of the project and its take on digital storytelling as a communication modality.
