If you are interested in some initial reports about the new functionality in QuickTime Pro 7.0.3 that allows an export for iPod video, you might check out this post by Alan Fraser.
Also, and maybe even more informative, check out Apple’s online tutorial for creating video podcasts with QuickTime Pro.
Does the pace of all this change make anyone else’s head spin? Boy it does mine.
Posting video online is well and good, and there will be a market for this no-doubt. I am very much still in the pro-audio podcasting camp for schools however, because I think using audio over video has lots of advantages: file size, less intrusive/threatening when recording, easier to edit, allows more focus on content and message, etc.
Still, it is worth checking out video blogging. I am betting most of my time listening to multimedia blogs will still be just that: Listening, not watching. But who knows? Only time will tell.
