I recently upgraded to a Flickr Pro account. Now that Yahoo purchased Flickr, you have to have a Pro account in order to create more than 3 photo sets if you have a free account. This has limited what I have done with Flickr in the past. I hope to scan a fair number of older pictures in the months to come and add them as new photo sets. I’ll also be adding some of my digital photo library too, as I started this evening.
Tonight I uploaded a bunch of photos from my May 2005 trip to the Dominican Republic. This was an easy process using iPhoto and the free Flickr plugin for iPhoto.
The DR is a wonderful country, and I can’t wait to go back. For more of my thoughts on the DR, check out some of the blog posts I made in May:
- Initial Trip Report from La Republica Dominicana
- Lessons for North Americans (norteamericanos) from the DR
I was in the DR teaching a series of faculty development workshops, titled “Designing and Delivering Effective Online Instruction.”
