In today’s TechForum presentation on digital storytelling, David Jakes shared a wonderful example from Ikea. This “lamp advertisement” (linked from Duncan’s TV Ad Land blog) is precious and funny.
Note the techniques: setting the scene, how the lamp is carried like a baby, the sound of the cold wind as it is taken to the curb, the light that goes out in the lamp when its “replacement” (as David said, “the other woman”) is turned off, etc. What fun! And what a great example to use when teaching other aspiring digital storytellers about the craft. 🙂
