Footfalls Toward Home

Inspired by what I have read so far in Daniel Pink’s “A Whole New Mind: Moving from the Information Age to the Conceptual Age,” and fairly exhausted from two very long and full days of technology integration workshops and sessions, I have spent some idle time in the Austin airport with Garageband making some music.

The result may not be a masterpiece, but it was certainly fun to make. I have christened it “Footfalls Toward Home” (mp3), and it is linked from my free audio page for podcasts under a Creative Commons Attribution Only license. It is 2 min 46 sec long.

On this day..

    Wesley,
I want to thank you for blogging and podcasting the conference. It was nice to be here in Utah and experience the sessions you were able to attend. I have a question! Since I have your slides online and your podcast of your session, would you mind if I mash them together and show your presentation to some of my colleagues.

Nice! Glad I was able to “experience’ Garageband with Alexander in Wichita — so I can appreciate what you’ve done a bit. The music does express what I think you might be feeling in the Austin Airport this evening.

    Kelly:

I am glad to hear you are listening to some of the podcasts and content from the TechforumTX conference in Utah!

Please do share these materials with colleagues! I have published all this under a Creative Commons attribution only license, which means you can do basically whatever you want with the content as long as you give me credit somewhere!

Also if you would like to videoconference about the conference issues that would be great. I can videoconference with iChat AV or traditional H.323 videoconference equipment we have at our college. Just let me know in advance so we can set this up.
