Donald Leu is a renowned expert on the topic of digital literacy / contemporary literacy. Two of his recent publications are available electronically for free and may be of interest:
- Toward a Theory of New Literacies Emerging From the Internet and Other Information and Communication Technologies (April 2004 – this is a 39 page article when printed)
- Teaching with the Internet: New literacies for new times (4th ed. – 2004)
The latter resource is a textbook available for purchase and use in college classes, but the full-text linked version is available online. Great resources, and since the web-based version is both free and hyperlinked, it is of even more value than the analog print version.
