The article “Pioneer podcasters make digital waves at Westside” from November 26, 2005 tells the story of some Nebraska high school podcasters making history. (If you don’t want to register to view the complete article, use bugmenot.com.)
Students at Westside High currently produce 3 podcasts, “Warrior Sports Report,” “Westside Transmit” and “A Farce in the Wind.” None of these appear to be listed in iTunes or Odeo, so I am guessing the feed address is unpublished and for local use only. According to the article, over 1000 Westside students and staff listen to the “Westside Transmit” podcast. Great circulation, and great way to tap into an authentic audience for student journalists. Way to go Westside educators and students! 🙂
