This evening I stumbled upon Fritz Nordengren’s website (www.digitalstoryteller.com) and his delightful photo essay on building a fishing boat with his son several years ago.
The story page links to Uncle John’s General Store, which sold Fritz his Jon Boat kit and instructions. A friend of mine here in Lubbock recently built a cajun pirogue that looks exactly like the kit offered for sale at Uncle John’s. This looks like a lot of fun, and even something that could be doable for my kids and I. Someday!
