Chat lingo

posted in disruptive-technology, isafety |

Cox Communications has published a thorough and excellent list of “lingo” (abbreviations) often used by young IMers. (young folks using instant messaging) It is available as a PDF File. The following are all acronyms parents should be aware of:

P911 - my parents are coming!
PA - parent alert
PAL - parents are listening
PANB - parents are nearby

Another one that should get adult attention is:

LMIRL - let’s meet in real life
