Chat lingo

Cox Communications has published a thorough and excellent list of “lingo” (abbreviations) often used by young IMers. (young folks using instant messaging) It is available as a PDF File. The following are all acronyms parents should be aware of:

P911 – my parents are coming!
PA – parent alert
PAL – parents are listening
PANB – parents are nearby

Another one that should get adult attention is:

LMIRL – let’s meet in real life
