I bought an outstanding children’s book today about the animals, landscapes, and plants of the American West titled “Under the Wild Western Sky”, by Jim Arnosky. Reading this to my daughter tonight, I really started looking forward to our upcoming family vacation later in the summer to Yellowstone Park! 🙂
This book also reminded me of a favorite country song of mine, “Western Skies” by Chris Ledoux. The western skies we’ve been under the past few days here in south Texas have been HOT! And we’re just in early June…. I wonder what it will be like in August?!

Like you, we are really looking forward to Yellowstone Park…and the high country of both Wyoming and Montana.
