Wes,

Wow, I am always impressed with your high character and honesty. You handle uncertainty like a rock-sure saint! As you may recall, I am (and always have been) far more philosophical --- perhaps to my own detriment.

I am also blown away that you didn't hit that reset button. I knew extremely few people who would have done what you did, when I was in the Navy. Your story here was very inspiring.

Warmest Regards,
Paul

Hi Brother,

I was blessed to read your testimony as I searched for 'Chrsitian Pilot Testimony.' I have been long fascinated with flying and have been recently wanting to learn to fly and use that to share Christ by banner-flying, dropping tracts or booklets and the likes. Thus I prayed and looked up the above in Google and read your testimony.

It was very encouraging and, like you have rightly experienced, for those who have serious questions on the walk with Christ here and life with him in eternity, I will definitely support what the Bible says and what has been your testimony - 'Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good...!' It is a personal experience stemming from inviting Jesus to forgive one's sins and becoming Lord of his or her life.

Be blessed, and be a channel of blessing, you and your family.

In Christ,

George

Thank you Wes, for taking the trouble to respond to my question. I am not sure that God and I haven't already found one another, although I wouldn't use that language myself because I don't know if we would actually be meaning the same thing.

I do still wonder if you can imagine the process of seeking and being found to be possible within any other spiritual tradition, and I would like to hear more of your own views on the idea of a unique path to "salvation".

Book of John notwithstanding, I have difficulty with that idea - especially given the fact that billions of humans have lived their entire lives without any opportunity to actually choose that path.

I will try to express this and related concerns more fully in my own blog, and I do hope that you are willing to continue the conversation.

Cheers,
             Alan

This was a really good and valid question! Seek. Seek. Seek. You will find.
The Book of John is always a great place to start.
Amen to your reply Wes.

Of course, I already knew you were a brother so I am not as surprised as others, but I have to commend you for stepping out and sharing your testimony. To believers, it seems so simple because we experience Him in our lives daily, but I can see how someone would ask. If only we could let them see His hand in our lives and what he does for us every day. The gift of Jesus, as God's perfect son, is the greatest of all.

I second Miguel. Amen. It is hard to be a Christian educator and listen to national Christian leaders harp on how evil public schools are. At some point they need to realize it would be better to equip their children for the mission field ahead of them instead of sheltering them. I'm here to do God's will. It has worked well for the last ten years.

Way to go, Wes!!

I had a feeling that you were not only a brother of tech -- but you were a brother in faith -- and your post has made my day.

I enjoy reading your blog and I applaud and commend you on your willingness to speak out. You went out on a limb today -- a good limb -- and I wish you the best as you continue to serve our Lord.

My testimony is so simplistic compared to yours -- but I have NOT ever had a day that I have not felt the presence and the guidance our God!

Take care,
Jennifer

Thanks for sharing your journey of faith. I've been reading your blog for a short time now and listening to your podcasts. The ideas you share have been helpful in teaching me about Web2.0 and how I will implement it in my classes. Good to know you are part of the Body.
