Organize folders by color
posted in edtech |Computer file organization is a challenge for anyone who creates “stuff” on their computer. One of the things I love about the Macintosh operating system is that it permits you, by default, to organize folders of files with different colors to make things easier to find and use.
Today I learned about Folder Marker, freeware software for Windows computers that provides similar “folder coloring” functionality. According to the website:
Folder Marker is your small assistant, an ardent fighter for your convenience and comfort in any kind of computer work. Use Folder Marker to mark your folders. One mouse-click and it becomes clear at once, which documents have a high priority, and which of them have normal or low priority. Which operations are finished completely, which are half-done and which haven’t started yet.
Excellent! And the price is right: Free. Thanks to Karen Montgomery for this tip.
