“Hy-wire” is the name of the General Motors car of the future: entirely powered by hydrogen energy. Amazing! Too bad they are not yet available for ordering. In a few years…..

[…] I do like a bit of news on alternative technologies Hydrogen car of the future “Hy-wire” is the name of the General Motors car of the future: entirely powered by hydrogen energy. Amazing! Too bad they are not yet available for ordering. In a few years….. Thanks to Wesley Fryer […]
Even if a practicable type of the hydrogen car takes ten years for production on a commercial scale, it will be one of the greatest achievements of the 21st century!

The Hy-Wire is cool, especially the visibility and the ability to move the steering wheel back and forth from driver side to passenger side. GM will, however introduce another hydrogen vehicle sooner. The Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell will roll out in mid-2007 to about 100 select customers. Also, the BMW Hydrogen 7 will roll out in the first quarter of 2007 to about the same number of select customers.
