Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer

SITE 2007 Proposal call

The Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education (SITE) 2007 conference is scheduled for San Antonio, Texas, March 26-30, 2007. A call for presentations is open through October 25, 2006.

SITE is an outstanding conference bringing together some of the best minds in teacher education, who are interested in the constructive roles technology can play in education. I attended and presented at the conference last March when it was in Orlando, and highly commend it. The SITE conference organizers have been very proactive in exploring the use of web 2.0 tools like blogs for pre-conference, live-conference, and post-conference dialogs and discussions. Last year’s SITE blog on digital storytelling was a big success. This year a new SITE blog is planned that should include more topics and voices. It is GREAT to see higher education leaders embracing web 2.0 tools!

If you are involved in higher education / teacher education consider attending and presenting at SITE. If you know people who are involved with teacher education, send them the SITE call for presenters link and encourage them to participate. San Antonio is a VERY fun place to visit, and the SITE conference will provide a great opportunity to go there. 🙂
