Podcast132: The Context and Opportunities of 1:1 Learning

posted in 1:1, podcasts |

This podcast is a recording of a keynote presentation I shared with Holland Christian Schools in Holland, Michigan today via videoconference. The session was for sixty high school teachers about to embark on phase three (but phase one for them) of a one to one laptop project. My role was to frame the context of digital learning, and also share a bit of a pep talk for teachers understandably nervous about the prospects of this disruptive technology change in their learning environment. Holland Christian Schools started their 1 to 1 project in 2005-2006 with sixth grade students and teachers, and extended the project to 6th, 7th and 8th grades in 2006-2007. For more background, check out the link to their website in the podcast shownotes.
