Hi Wes:
How exciting to see you blogging about videoconferencing and polycoms! I love to see the student's enthusiasm with classroom to classroom collaborations - there are so many neat projects, resources available! Keep blogging about VC!!

Hi, Wes, I was so excited to see you writing about work in videoconferencing. I work in central Texas supporting IVC in 57 districts. We have seen an explosion of use in the elementary and intermediate grade levels with our regional projects and collaborations.

We give teachers structure and support for using the technology and sneak in a wiki or a blog here and there, too. We used a wiki to support our Monster Match project this year and had 82 out of 86 participating teachers post their descriptions online successfully. The other four I had to help a bit, but thanks to the history tab and RSS, I was able to figure out which description belonged to which teacher.

Videoconferencing coupled with the supportive technologies (Web 2.0 stuff) is the best of the best and creates amazing opportunities for collaborations.

We are always looking for collaborative partners, so let me know if you need partners from Texas!
