I've been talking to a couple of teachers about using Twitter as a way for students and them to produce a running commentary on what they're doing in class for parents to follow. While the kids get the idea pretty quickly (although I'm surprised how many haven't used Twitter), explaining the idea to parents has been interesting. At this point, we'll probably wait until after the spring standardized tests to give it a try.

Hi Wes,

what a great and simple idea to communicate with parents. Less is more many times and this is a wonderful and easy way to do something that has been cost prohibitive in the past.

Why are the simplest ideas seem to be the best?
