Went to do it last night and it was grumpy - showed me not showing people that I was definitely following. Fortunately tonight worked fine and I removed people who aren't following me (that's my rule if they add me then dump me I unfollow them because I already suffer from too much noise -- even though I'm the greatest noise creator). Meanwhile Twhirl is really nice and works well but not my first choice for managing large numbers of followers if you actually want to maintain conversations.
