I am not sure of a specific place for those conversations just about student digital media repositories, but this would be a great topic for EdTechTalk. I posted about a variety of digital storytelling projects yesterday on Storychasers, which includes some student projects focused on digital storytelling. Presentations on the K-12 Online Conference touch on student created media, and in the 2008 conference we may have more. (Proposals are being evaluated now.)

I have heard the term "media lockers" before to refer to places for students to save and share media artifacts. If there are other places online where folks are talking about these issues I'd like to know about them too. :-)
