Google Docs prefers IE over FireFox?
posted in edtech |I’ve been working quite a bit lately in Google Docs and Google sites for a RFP related to a grant, and I was not able to rename the worksheets in a Google Spreadsheet using the latest FireFox browser on a WinXP computer. IE 6 worked fine though. I always prefer to use FireFox on a Windows computer when I have to use a Windows computer, but in this case I’m having to use IE. Strange.
I really like the “file cabinet” feature of Google Sites which permits users to upload files and put them in organizing folders, and then share access with others. Our Celebrate Oklahoma Voices sub-committee is using a private Google Site for this RFP review process, and we also have a public Google Site to share access to our workshop handouts. Those are all licensed via Creative Commons, so if you’re looking for handouts on Audacity or PhotoStory please feel free to use or modify these!
