Videoconferencing has never been so easy…
On the way to Stanford this past weekend I had a stopover in the Las Vegas airport, Southwest Airlines terminal. Just opened up my Powerbook, it automatically connected to a free wireless internet network connection available in the terminal– and I was able to open iChat and have an interactive, 2 way videoconference (with video and audio) with my family back in Texas.
Free, no phone or internet access charges– and very clear audio and video– it was so great! I am sure everyone waiting in line to board the plane thought I was a real geek– little did they know all I had to do was open my Macintosh laptop and click 2 icons to make that happen….
