These thoughts and photos from a US soldier serving in Iraq are well worth reading and viewing.

My mother brought the following site to my attention, she spends a lot of time these days keeping up with “the real news” from the war in Iraq by reading blog postings by both US military personnel as well as civilians, both US and Iraqi. The posting I viewed todays is on:

It is so amazing to me to consider the history of Iraq. The photos posted by J on his website (above) are really awesome. It is so sad that a country so rich in history and culture is beset by such violence and turmoil. My prayers for our servicemen and women as well as the Iraqi people continue to go out…
