Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer

Tony Evans preaches

Tony Evans is one of the most dynamic speakers and Christian preachers I have ever listened to in person. Tony was a speaker at a Promisekeepers event I attended several years ago.

I have been looking for a free podcast feed of Dr. Evan’s sermons, but it appears none are currently available. Full sermons from Tony are available from the website “The Alternative,” as streaming audio. Past messages are available also in a broadcast archive. Shorter (approx 2 minute) excerpts of his messages are also available at OnePlace.com in the broadcast archives for his “The Alternative View” program. All these free audio resources are just available as web-streamed audio files, however, which means they cannot be readily downloaded to an iPod or other mobile audio listening device. If you want to download a mp3 version of any of these audio files, you have to buy them for $4.50 each. No podcast feeds appear to be available.

Tony Evans is senior pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas. Article archives of messages from Dr. Evans are also available for free download.

Tony is not only a great storyteller and therefore a powerful preacher, but also an outstanding Bible scholar. He preaches truth. Check him out.

There is a web site where you can download previous sermons, but they are not set up as podcasts for subscription. Find them at http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/The_Alternative/. I was there when Tony last spoke as well. He is awesome. By the way, if you are going to Promise Keepers this year, I would love to meet up with you. I did not get a chance to hear you at TCEA, but I have listened to your podcasts. Between you, David Warlick, Gary Stager, and Dr. Bernie Dodge, I have been inspired to do more and learn more. I have always been an information addict and a technology junkie, but this is a new level now. I am looking into a doctorate in ed tech. We’ll see. I would love to meet up with you in Dallas at Promise Keepers and get a little insight into your experiences and just to say hi.
