I noticed this evening that the social bookmarking site del.icio.us has a new network feature. According to the site:
Your network connects you to other del.icio.us users – friends, family, even new people you run across while exploring del.icio.us.
You can manage your network and keep track of their latest bookmarks by clicking the “your network” link at the top of the page, or by visiting del.icio.us/network. If you do not want others to see to whom you are connected, you can make your network private by following the “network settings” link on your network page.
When you save new bookmarks, you can share them with people in your network simply by clicking on a username. That user (or users) will then receive the sent bookmark and be able to view it by clicking on “links for you” at the top of the page.
“Your fans” is your reverse network – a list of people who have added you to their network.
I added a few folks to my del.icio.us network this evening. This looks like a better way to share websites / bookmarks than the previous “for:” tag and inbox method.
Feel free to add me to your own del.icio.us network! Del.icio.us rocks as a great way to share website links with editorial remarks! 🙂

One response to “del.icio.us network”
Wesley, you’ve been in my del.icio.us network for a long while. I use it as my default browser home page, and it is one of my favorite websurfing resources.
