I shared the following email this week with Oklahoma technology directors– If you are in or near Oklahoma and would like to attend one of these free sessions, please register online and join us! I will likely podcast one of the afternoon sessions on “free digital curriculum.”
Oklahoma Educators, Tech Directors and Administrators:
I will be sharing a series of free seminars on E-Rate and free digital curriculum the next several weeks around the state of Oklahoma. The “E-Rate Updates and Tips for Success” portion will be from 9 am till 11:30 am each day, and the digital curriculum session will be from 1 – 2:30 pm. I’ve attached a flyer that gives more info. Lunch is provided free! These are the dates and locations:
- Tuesday, Sept 12th: Ardmore Area
- Wednesday, Sept 13th: Byng
- Thursday, Sept 14th: Lawton
- Friday, Sept 15th: Altus
- Tuesday, Sept 19th: Claremore
- Wednesday, Sept 20th: Tahlequah Area
- Thursday, Sept 21st: Ponca City
- Friday, Sept 22nd: McAlester
- Tuesday, Sept 26th: Durant
- Wednesday, Sept 27th: Edmond

Also, I am available as a free professional development resource person for K-12 schools as well as colleges/universities in Oklahoma– I can work with individual teachers or groups of teachers on things like setting up safe classroom blogs to improve student writing scores, interactive videoconferencing involving virtual field trips or collaborative classroom projects, digital storytelling, podcasting, and other topics.
