Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer

Key Takeaways from WYTECC 2015 in Rock Springs, Wyoming

Today and Friday I had the opportunity to learn and share ideas with other educators in Rock Springs, Wyoming, at the fourth annual WYTECC Conference. My TweetNest archive shows I posted 143 tweets in the past 2 days with the #wytecc15 hashtag. As is always the case at educational technology conferences, I think I took away far more ideas than I shared with others. Here are some of the most valuable takeaways for me from the past two days, shared via Twitter. In addition to checking out the links included in these tweets, check out the roundtable discussion I audio recorded and shared on Fuel for Educational Change Agents, “Why Become a Connected Educator by Jared Covili.” Slides are also available (on SlideShare) for the keynote I shared today (Mapping Media to the Curriculum) and three breakout sessions:

  1. Discovering Useful New Ideas
  2. Sharing Student Work Online
  3. Engaging STEM Lesson Ideas

Thanks for sharing this, Wes. I am from Wyoming (Casper), and I always love to see what is going on there. Sounds like a great conference and opportunity to share ideas!
