I’m pleased to announce virtual attendance and participation options are now available for the December 14th workshop I’m offering in Oklahoma City on “Google Documents, Spreadsheets, Forms, Presentations and Drawing,” and the December 15th workshop on “Google Maps and Google Earth.” Discounted online registration is available for groups (including more than one person) as well as individuals. If you register to attend virtually, you’ll be emailed instructions to access the private Ustream.tv channel for the workshop broadcast and the event backchannel. Additionally, you’ll receive instructions for testing your connectivity to websites used for the virtual broadcast so you can verify your readiness to attend in advance. School groups are welcome to attend together, as are individual educators. Virtual ticket registration costs are $50 for group attendees (>1 person) and $25 for individual attendees, per day. Each workshop takes place from 9 am to 4 pm CST, with an hour break for lunch from noon to 1 pm CST.
Google Documents, Spreadsheets, Forms, Presentations and Drawing: 14 Dec 2010 – 9 am to 4 pm CST
Google Maps and Google Earth: 15 Dec 2010 – 9 am to 4 pm CST
I’ve created a new Facebook page for Speed of Creativity Learning to share both face-to-face and virtual workshop opportunities like these. If you’re a Facebook user, please click “Like” to stay up to date on upcoming workshop opportunities. 🙂

One response to “Virtual Participation Options for Dec 14 and 15 Google Tools Workshops”
Hello again, Dr. Fryer! I think that it is very exciting and a great idea to have a Technology Workshop on how to use Google Tools. After making a Google account, I realized how little I really knew about what you can do with Google. There are so many options and tools you can use that people know so little about it, so I think it is a great idea to inform them! I also like the idea of bringing your own laptop. This way students can visually and kinetically learn while they listen. Thank you again for letting me comment on your posts!
