I’m pleased to announce I’ll be repeating the two-day “Google Tools” BYOL (bring your own laptop) workshops I presented in December in Oklahoma City for educators in the Tulsa area on Thursday, February 24 and Friday, February 25th in Claremore, Oklahoma. You can attend either face-to-face or virtually. The Claremore campus of Northeast Technology Center will host the workshop. Lunch is included for face-to-face attendees. More details and registration information for both workshops are available via EventBrite, along with preparation instructions for face-to-face as well as virtual attendees. In addition to using Ustream and a Chatzy backchannel for virtual participants, I’m also going to use Mikogo screensharing (free) to permit remote attendees to view higher resolution versions of my shared desktop during the workshops.
Please forward this info and these links to any educators in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area who might be interested in attending, as well as others who might want to virtually attend. While these workshops will focus specifically on educational applications of Google Docs as well as Google Maps / Earth, this is an introductory workshop which can be beneficial to anyone getting started with these powerful, free tools.
