More thinking about mobile, field recording for podcasts

My post today for TechLearning is titled “Podcasting power in your hand.”

I am still trying to fully comprehend the implications of everyone with access to a phone (a cell phone or land line) having access to a viable podcast recording device. I love the fact that Gabcast stores the number of the phone which people use to call your channel and record a message, so accountability is built into the technology which prevents complete anonymity in commenting. (That’s important in school contexts.)

I can hardly wait to share Gabcast and the implications it brings for classroom podcasting in my next digital storytelling workshop!
