Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer

Inviting skypecast input

Thanks to educators from the following places for filling out the short online survey about questions which should be addressed in the upcoming international skypecast tomorrow, and indicated interest in participating:

  • Irving, Texas
  • Piqua Ohio
  • Scotland
  • Wells, ME
  • Snow Lake, Manitoba
  • Xavier, Manitoba

I have posted our survey results to Flickr, so far the following question looks like the top choice:

David Warlick talks about telling a new story. I’d like to see us more clearly define it. Is this new future just an amalgamation of new, untried solutions (e.g. digital storytelling, blogging, podcasting, wikis, etc)? How do these fundamentally transform teaching, learning and leadership aside from serving as a big distraction?

Skypecast Survey

Based on input from Miguel and others, I have also updated our skypecast wiki, renamed “Over the Pond and Through the Fiber.” The new page includes instructions for those who want to participate, either as “skyped in” guests, by posting questions to the wiki, or by instant messaging comments or questions during the actual skype conference. (Using Skype.)

I am working on an option to provide a live browser-based audio feed/stream of the conference call for others who want to listen in and IM-in questions and comments. I’ll post what I come up with here. Jeff Allen will be joining us from Bremerton, Washington also. We are still working on the schedule of other guests, if you want to skype-in please feel free to add yourself to the wiki.

Hope you join our international conversation tomorrow! 🙂
