Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer

Simplestar PhotoShow

PhotoShow by Simplestar is a Windows-based digital storytelling software program that looks like a combination of iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD wrapped together in a powerful package for PCs. Think of the ease of PhotoStory with the capability to also use digital video (which requires MovieMaker or another program) and also supports DVD burning. Plus, you can export your digital stories to the web in Flash format– the most accessible video medium available today.

PhotoShow is available in two commercial flavors, or you can download a free trial version of the less expensive “express” product, which runs on Windows98 systems and newer PCs. Definitely looks worth checking out!

This site sounded familar and then I remember using it a number of years ago before I thought of it in terms of digitalstorytelling.

In my reminicsing, I recalled a similar program called Photojam from Shockwave.

I’m not sure what the limitations are with the trial version but the basic version is $29.99.
